Where to stream each Halloween movie

Whether you’re looking for the original Halloween series of movies, the Rob Zombie collection, or David Gordon Green’s trilogy, here’s what you need to know.

Halloween

The 1978 Halloween movie is the one that started it all and likely needs no introduction. Directed by John Carpenter and starring Jamie Lee Curtis, the original Halloween movie is currently available to stream on Shudder. If new to Shudder, the standard plan costs $6.99 per month and a free trial is available.

Not subscribed to Shudder and don’t want to pay for a subscription, don’t worry. The original Halloween is also currently available to stream for free on Redbox. Now that’s killer.

Halloween II

Halloween II is a great sequel and marks the return of Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode. For fans of the second movie, Halloween II is actually not currently available to stream through any of the main subscription services. However, it is available to rent and stream.

Halloween II rental options:

Halloween III: Season of the Witch

In 1982 came Halloween III which marked a very different Halloween movie. In fact, it is the only one in the series that doesn’t feature Michael Myers. For those in need of a Silver Shamrock fix, Halloween III is also currently unavailable to stream without a rental.

Halloween III: Season of the Witch rental options:

Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers

Following the plot departure in Halloween III, it would take a few years for the series to return again in the aptly named Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers. For those wanting to stream this one, it is also currently available to watch with a Shudder subscription.

Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers

One year after The Return of Michael Myers came The Revenge of Michael Myers, with Michael once again on the hunt for his niece. And just like with Michael’s return, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers is available to stream with a Shudder subscription.

Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers

The Halloween series would take another break after the fifth movie and wouldn’t return again until 1995. Now it was the time for The Curse of Michael Myers which is available to stream on Paramount Plus.

Halloween H20: 20 Years Later

The 20th anniversary of the Halloween series resulted in the release of Halloween H20. It also saw Jamie Lee Curtis return once again as Laurie. Halloween H20: 20 Years is also available to stream with a Paramount Plus subscription.

Halloween: Resurrection

Halloween: Resurrection was released in 2002 and continues on from the events in H20. It is also the last of the Halloween movies that’s currently available to stream through Paramount Plus.

Halloween (2007)

In 2007, the next reimagining of the Halloween series took place with the release of Rob Zombie’s Halloween. Offering more of an origins look at Michael Myers, Halloween (2007) is available to watch for free on Tubi.

Halloween II (2009)

Just as Halloween (2007) was an alternative telling of the original Halloween movie, Halloween II (2009) is an alternate sequel as well. Rob Zombie once again took to the director’s chair and Halloween II (2009) is available to watch for free on multiple streaming services including Pluto TV and Amazon’s Freevee.

Halloween (2018)

In what is yet another, and the most recent reboot, 2018 saw the release of Halloween. With David Gordon Green in the director’s chair this time, the 2018 movie would become the first of a new trilogy. Halloween (2018) is currently not available to stream with any subscription service and will require a rental from $3.99.

Halloween Kills

In the second of David Gordon Green’s trilogy, Halloween Kills continues on from the events in the 2018 movie. Halloween Kills is currently available to stream with an HBO Max subscription.

Halloween Ends

Finally, there’s Halloween Ends. The final instalment in the David Gordon Green trilogy and the most recent Halloween movie to date, Halloween Ends is available to stream through Prime Video with an Amazon Prime membership.

That’s it. Between Shudder, Paramount Plus, Pluto TV, and Tubi, it is possible to stream most of the Halloween collection with the remainder of them also available to stream with a rental.
